Constance Elizabeth Gaulter, MD

Family Medicine Physician

Dr. Constance Gaulter, is a family physician with over 30 years of experience, including two decades serving the Grass Valley community. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Gaulter earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by an internship and residency in Family Practice at the UCSF-affiliated Valley Medical Center in Fresno, California. Her medical career has included diverse experiences, ranging from local primary care to international assignments as a contract physician with the U.S. Foreign Service. During her tenure abroad, Dr. Gaulter provided medical care at U.S. embassies and regional medical facilities in Haiti and Burkina Faso, demonstrating her dedication to global health. In Grass Valley, she practiced full-spectrum family medicine with Sierra Care Physicians, where she was deeply committed to her patients and community. Dr. Gaulter’s holistic approach to patient care focuses on building strong doctor-patient relationships and supporting health across all stages of life. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, reflecting her commitment to advancing family medicine. In addition to her medical career, Dr. Gaulter has a rich personal life. She is deeply involved in the local amateur traditional music community and enjoys playing the fiddle. Her other hobbies include gardening, knitting, and spending time with her family in Nevada City, California.
