CureRays emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic, determined to investigate and validate the historic use of low-dose radiation for benign, inflammatory, and infectious indications. Through clinical radiation medicine, expert consultancy, and clinical trials, CureRays aims to “follow the science” wherever it may lead. We passionately discover and expand horizons about the role therapeutic radiation to treat human diseases and improve medical care.

CureRays investigators pioneered the use of low-dose, lung-directed x-ray treatment for COVID-19-related pneumonia, which reduced oxygenation demand, altered the immune system, and reduced intubation rates against the cascading run-away immune effects of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which caused the global pandemic.
With gratitude
That work owed a great deal to Dr. Khan, whose scientific guidance in the earliest days of the COVID trial — serving as our external advisor, when the questions were hardest and the answers least certain — was deeply appreciated. A mentor's willingness to think carefully alongside you, at exactly the moment when careful thinking is most difficult, is a rare gift. We are grateful for it, and it shaped how CureRays approaches evidence to this day.
