What is Skin Mapping?

Skin mapping is a comprehensive screening process aimed at identifying and monitoring skin lesions that may become cancerous. Spots and moles can change slowly, making it hard to notice what's new, so skin mapping creates a detailed baseline of your skin — any change, a new lesion or an evolving mole, can be spotted early, when skin cancer is easiest to cure.

What it includes

  • Total body photography to create a baseline record of your skin (SkinIO-assisted)
  • Dermoscopy for detailed examination of individual lesions
  • High-frequency ultrasound, when needed, to assess deeper layers of the skin
  • Tracking of changes over time and evaluation of any suspicious areas
  • Coordinated follow-up, biopsy, or treatment if anything looks suspicious

Why it matters

Early detection is the single biggest factor in skin-cancer outcomes. Mapping turns 'I think that looks different' into objective, trackable information — and if treatment is needed, scar-free IG-SRT is often an option.
